For this recipe, we decided to try something different. A lot of edibles contain butter, eggs and cream, which makes it difficult for those who are lactose intolerant and vegans to enjoy the benefits of medical marijuana in tasty edible forms.
This absolutely delicious vegan medical marijuana ice cream with bananas and strawberries recipe is a win-win for everyone from medical marijuana patients to vegans and vegetarians. It features vegan ice cream and a medical marijuana infused chocolate syrup.
The syrup can be used on a host of other recipes, vegan or otherwise. You can even make ganja chocolate milk with it. Try it out, even if you eat dairy, the freshness from the frozen fruit and the medical marijuana kick really hits the spot on a hot summer day.
Ice cream ingredients:
2 ripe bananas
1 1/2 cup of fresh, ripe strawberries
1/2 tablespoon maple syrup
½ cup of brown sugar (or ½ cup of agave syrup)
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
Blender or food processor
1. Slice the bananas and put them in freezer until they harden (about ½ hour)
2. Slice the berries and place them them with the sugar and maple syrup in a bowl and let them macerate for one hour at room temperature. (I don’t strain out the seeds in this ice cream. But you can strain them all out, or just some of them)
3. Freeze the berry mixture until it hardens
4. Puree the berries and the liquid with the bananas in your blender or food processor. Add the lemon juice
5. If the mixture is a little choppy, add ¾ of a cup of rice milk or almond milk and blend until smooth
6. Put your mixture into the freezer for about a ½ hour and then it's ready to eat
Hash oil ingredients:
Vegan brand chocolate syrup (try Sweetbird, Ah!Laska or check out a local health foods store or Wholefoods for other options)
1 dose of hash oil (more if you're sharing the treat)
